All class times are for Beginner Machine Sewing but occasional lessons may incorporate fun textile art techniques or hand embroidery as your child expresses an interest. Additionally, as students progress, individuals may be given opportunities to work on more advanced projects.

Class Descriptions and Cost

Beginner sewing Machine classes
The beginner sewing machine class is perfect for students who want to learn the basics of operating a sewing machine and are just starting sewing. They will learn essential tools and terminology, how to measure properly, and how to work with different fabrics and materials. They’ll make some fun and simple sewing projects, including a 9-patch pillow, drawstring bag and book bag. The cost per lesson is just $26 so sign up today!
After becoming familiar with using a sewing machine and finishing a number of beginner projects, students may be ready to take on more challenging projects, including a pillowcase, a drawstring backpack and some fun plushies.

Students will also have the opportunity to learn how to hand stitch with needle and thread using some basic embroidery stitches, such as the straight stitch, whip stitch, chain stitch, French knot, and more. These techniques will enable students to make some fun textile art projects.
